What we publish

news-breaking links to reporting by established publishers. For each article we show the publisher's headline, a short extract of at most 250 characters and a link to the original. We do not change what a publisher wrote, and we do not publish full articles.

How stories are chosen and ranked

Stories are gathered from the publishers on our sources page and ranked by how important they are: how serious and how widely relevant an event is, and how many outlets report it. The ranking is done automatically, by software that includes AI models.

Automation and AI

Ratings, sections and the grouping of reports about the same event are produced automatically and are not reviewed by a person before they appear. Automated judgements can be wrong. Where a page carries text we wrote ourselves rather than a publisher's, the page says how it was made.

Corrections

If a rating, a grouping or anything we wrote is wrong, tell us through the contact form, with the address of the page. We review every report and correct or remove what is wrong. A publisher that wants its articles removed from the site can ask the same way.
