Jane Pitt Anti-Obama Letter

A letter to the editor of News-Leader in Springfield Missouri is causing trouble for the writer, Jane Pitt, as well as for her son and mega superstar, Brad Pitt.

Jane Pitt anti-Obama letter

Gregg DeGuire / FilmMagic

The male portion of Brangelina may be suffering some backlash from his fiance, Angelina Jolie, who is an avid Obama supporter. Here is what the letter said:

I have given much thought to Richard Stoecker’s letter (“Vote for Mormon against beliefs,” June 15). I am also a Christian and differ with the Mormon religion.

But I think any Christian should spend much time in prayer before refusing to vote for a family man with high morals, business experience, who is against abortion, and shares Christian conviction concerning homosexuality just because he is a Mormon.

Any Christian who does not vote or writes in a name is casting a vote for Romney’s opponent, Barack Hussein Obama — a man who sat in Jeremiah Wright’s church for years, did not hold a public ceremony to mark the National Day of Prayer, and is a liberal who supports the killing of unborn babies and same-sex marriage.

I hope all Christians give their vote prayerful consideration because voting is a sacred privilege and a serious responsibility.

Both Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have made their celebrity opinions clear that they are in favor of gay marriage and even went so far as to declare they would not marry until ‘everyone could legally marry.’

The couple, who havea total of six children, are now engaged but details about when are still unclear. Here is what the Daily Mail printed about the topic:

Jane has never wanted to talk politics with Angelina. Since the letter was published, Angelina has now reportedly asked Brad to teach his mother not to be so outspoken about same-sex marriage, especially since the celebrity couple clearly support it. ‘(She) has told Brad he must educate his mother, but Brad is too much of a mama’s boy,’ a source told the magazine. ‘If Brad won’t do it, Angelina will have to take matters into her own hands and talk to Jane about how, as the mother of such a prominent celebrity, she shouldn’t be writing letters that clash with her son’s personal opinions.’ And it appears that Brad just wants to brush the entire issue under the carpet, in fear of being stuck in the middle of his future wife and own mother. ‘It’ll inevitably end up in a huge blowout, with Brad stuck in the middle.’

So now Brad’s mother is not supposed to voice an opinion that differs from her famous daughter-in-law-to-be? How grossly self-absorbed and self-important. Just remember that rich and famous Hollywood types can afford to be uber-liberal.

Katie Homes is Catholic Again

Since her recent split from ex-husband Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes has joined the Church of St. Francis Xavier in New York. The move could be seen as not only a slap in the face to Cruise, but Scientology.

Some who followed the marriage and lives of Cruise and Holmes believe that Katie was never enamoured with Scientology and that Tom’s strident beliefs may have come between them early in the marriage.

Katie Holmes returns to Catholicism

Sources are saying that Katie had a water-tight case for divorce before she ever approached Tom. She was secretive in getting all the details covered before she called her then husband while he was filming in Iceland and told him she was filing for divorce.

It is believed that Holmes has obtained sole custody of their six-year-old daughter, Suri. Sources also say that in the divorce agreement are “iron clad” terms that state that Suri may not attend or participate in any function or gathering with any link to scientology, indicating that Suri will be raised with Katie’s Catholic beliefs and not Tom’s controvercial devotion to Scientology.

It has been heard in some circles that Katie Holmes “break” from Tom and the secretive way she went about it seems more like an escape than a Hollywood divorce. And with her haste to resume her Catholic upbringing as well as shield her daughter from any involvement in her father’s religious beliefs, perhaps an escape from Scientology as well.
